Mile Truck LLC is a nationwide freight carrier headquartered in Chicago, IL. We provide FMCSA-compliant transportation services including dry van, reefer, expedited freight, dedicated freight, power only, LTL, and last-mile delivery across all 48 contiguous states.

We operate across all 48 contiguous United States. Our dispatch team maintains active freight capacity nationwide, covering major freight corridors from coast to coast and in all regions.

We handle a wide range of freight including standard dry goods, temperature-sensitive cargo (reefer), time-critical expedited loads, dedicated contract freight, partial loads (LTL), power-only movements, and last-mile deliveries.

Yes. Mile Truck LLC operates as an asset-based carrier with our own equipment and drivers. We also work with qualified owner operators who operate under our authority. All drivers and equipment operate under Mile Truck's DOT number and MC authority.

Shippers

Submit a capacity request through our Request Truck Capacity form on the Shippers page. Provide your origin, destination, freight type, weight, and pickup dates. Our dispatch team will respond quickly with availability and rates.

We transport dry goods, produce and perishables (reefer), government cargo, time-sensitive expedited freight, contract dedicated loads, partial LTL shipments, and last-mile deliveries. Contact us if you have a non-standard freight type and we'll assess whether we can accommodate it.

Yes. Our dispatch team provides proactive load status updates including pickup confirmation, transit check-ins, and delivery confirmation. For real-time tracking needs, our team can coordinate directly with your TMS or provide a direct dispatch contact for each load.

Absolutely. We accommodate appointment-based pickups and deliveries. When submitting your freight request, include your appointment windows and we will match drivers and equipment to meet your schedule.

Yes. For shippers with consistent, recurring freight lanes, we offer dedicated freight arrangements where capacity is committed specifically to your account. This ensures priority access to equipment and drivers on your critical routes.

Owner Operators

Everything independent operators need to know about partnering with Mile Truck.

Visit our Owner Operator Application page and complete the online form. You'll need to provide your CDL information, truck details, insurance documentation, and operating history. Our recruiting team reviews all applications and will contact you to discuss next steps.

Trucks must generally be 2015 or newer for most programs, though requirements vary by service type. Your truck must have a valid DOT inspection, pass our pre-qualification check, be ELD-compliant, and meet FMCSA equipment standards. Contact our recruiting team to discuss your specific equipment.

Yes. All owner operators running under Mile Truck's authority have access to 24/7 dispatch support. Our team handles load coordination, communications, and real-time issue resolution so you can focus on driving.

Owner operators are settled on a weekly basis. Payments are processed after verified delivery with proper documentation (POD). Direct deposit is available and is the recommended method. Quick pay options may be available — ask our recruiting team for current program details.

Yes. Owner operators running under our authority have access to our fuel discount program with savings at major truck stops nationwide. Visit our Fuel Discounts page for details on participating locations and current discount rates.

You are required to carry your own bobtail/non-trucking liability insurance at a minimum. Mile Truck provides primary liability and cargo coverage when you are dispatched on a load under our authority. Exact requirements are provided during the onboarding process.

We do not force dispatch. Owner operators are presented available loads and can accept or decline based on their preferences, home time needs, or equipment availability. Our goal is to match you with loads that fit your schedule and lane preferences.

All owner operators running under Mile Truck must be ELD-compliant per FMCSA regulations. If you already have an FMCSA-approved ELD device, you may use it. We can also provide guidance on compatible ELD options if needed.

Company Drivers

Everything you need to know about driving for Mile Truck as a company driver.

Most of our positions require a Class A CDL. Some last-mile and local delivery positions may accept a Class B CDL. All drivers must hold a valid CDL issued in the state where they reside.

Most Mile Truck driving positions require a minimum of 6 months to 1 year of verifiable CDL driving experience. We also evaluate your safety record, MVR, and background check. Some training positions may be available for newer CDL holders — check our current Careers postings for details.

The process includes: (1) application submission, (2) driver qualification file review including MVR and background check, (3) phone screen with our recruiting team, (4) conditional offer and drug screening, (5) orientation. The full process typically takes 1–2 weeks from application to start date.

Company driver pay is based on mileage, with per-mile rates that vary by route type and experience level. We also offer stop pay, detention pay, and accessorial pay for additional services. Specific pay details are discussed during the recruiting process.

Home time varies by route type. Regional and local drivers typically have regular weekly home time. OTR drivers work on a schedule agreed upon during the hiring process. Home time expectations are discussed and set clearly before you start.

Mile Truck maintains a fleet of late-model equipment. You'll find details on current truck models and trailer types on our Company Truck Equipment page. All equipment is regularly maintained and inspected per FMCSA standards.

Government

Yes. Mile Truck LLC provides freight transportation services for federal agencies, government contractors, and emergency response operations. Our team understands the compliance, documentation, and scheduling requirements specific to government logistics.

SAM.gov registration is in progress for Mile Truck LLC. We are actively pursuing federal procurement eligibility. For current registration status and procurement documentation, please contact our team directly.

Mile Truck maintains active USDOT registration, MC authority, FMCSA compliance, full liability and cargo insurance, and driver qualification files. All drivers are background-checked and DOT-qualified. Documentation is available for contracting and procurement review.

Yes. In addition to driving roles, we hire for dispatch, freight brokerage, and operations support positions. These roles may be office-based or hybrid depending on the position. Check the Careers page for the latest available roles.

For driver positions, the typical timeline from application to start date is 1–2 weeks depending on background checks, drug screening, and orientation scheduling. For office roles, timelines vary. Our team communicates clearly on expected next steps throughout the process.

A CDL is required for driver positions (Company Driver, Owner Operator). Non-driving roles such as dispatcher and freight broker do not require a CDL, though relevant industry experience is valued.

Yes. Mile Truck LLC holds active USDOT number 4530740 and MC authority 1796485, and operates in full compliance with FMCSA regulations. This includes driver qualification files, hours-of-service compliance, ELD requirements, and vehicle inspection standards.

Mile Truck carries primary liability insurance, cargo insurance, and all coverage required by FMCSA for motor carriers. Certificates of insurance are available upon request for shippers, brokers, and contracting partners.

All drivers go through a formal qualification process including MVR review, background check, employment verification, drug and alcohol screening, and CDL verification. Driver qualification files are maintained and updated in compliance with FMCSA regulations.

All Mile Truck drivers use FMCSA-approved ELD devices to record hours of service in compliance with the federal ELD mandate. ELD data is available to enforcement authorities during roadside inspections.

Yes. All drivers are required to comply with FMCSA hours-of-service (HOS) regulations. ELD devices automatically track and enforce HOS limits, and our dispatch team coordinates load planning around driver HOS availability.

Cargo is secured according to FMCSA cargo securement regulations. For temperature-sensitive freight, our reefer equipment is monitored and maintained to protect product integrity. Drivers are trained on proper cargo handling and securement standards.

In the event of a freight claim, contact our team immediately. Document the damage at delivery with notations on the POD, take photos, and submit a written claim with supporting documentation. Our team handles claims in accordance with Carmack Amendment freight liability standards.

Billing & Payments

Invoice, payment, documentation, and freight claims information.

Invoices are issued after delivery with proof of delivery (POD) documentation attached. Invoice terms and billing preferences are established during carrier onboarding or broker setup. Standard payment terms are net 30 unless otherwise agreed.

We accept ACH/direct deposit and standard business check payments. For owner operator settlements, direct deposit is available and is the recommended payment method. Contact our accounting team to confirm accepted payment methods for your account type.

Rate confirmations are issued by our dispatch team before each load is dispatched. They include the agreed rate, origin, destination, pickup date, and any additional terms. Never dispatch a load without receiving a written rate confirmation.

Standard billing documentation includes the signed proof of delivery (POD), the Bill of Lading (BOL), and any lumper receipts or accessorial documentation. Submit all documentation with your invoice to ensure prompt payment processing.

PODs should be signed by the consignee at delivery and submitted to Mile Truck's team promptly. You can email scanned or photographed PODs directly to our billing department. POD submission is required before payment processing can begin.

For billing disputes, contact our accounting team with the load number, invoice number, and a description of the dispute. For freight claims, document the issue at delivery, take photos, and submit a written claim with supporting documentation. All disputes are reviewed and responded to within our standard billing cycle.
