About this position
Mile Truck is hiring CDL Class A company drivers for OTR freight lanes across the United States. We operate dry van, reefer, and expedited freight — and we're looking for drivers who take their work seriously.
Our dispatch team is built around communication: clear load information before departure, proactive check-ins in transit, and real support when things change on the road. We don't leave drivers guessing.
Responsibilities
What you'll do
- Operate Class A CMVs safely across OTR and regional freight lanes
- Pick up and deliver freight according to assigned schedules and appointments
- Maintain hours-of-service compliance using an ELD system
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and log all defects
- Communicate proactively with dispatch on delays, changes, or exceptions
- Handle freight documentation, BOL, and delivery receipts correctly
- Maintain clean, well-organized equipment in full DOT compliance
Requirements
What we're looking for
- Valid CDL Class A license
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable CDL driving experience
- Clean MVR — no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
- No DUI/DWI convictions
- Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen
- Familiarity with ELD systems and FMCSA hours-of-service rules
- Strong communication skills and self-directed work ethic
