About this position
Mile Truck is expanding its brokerage operations and looking for motivated freight brokers to build shipper relationships and move freight efficiently.
You will have access to quality carrier capacity, internal dispatching support, and a commission structure that rewards consistent performance. This role is built for someone who wants to develop a long-term book of business — not just chase spot loads.
Responsibilities
What you'll do
- Prospect, develop, and manage shipper accounts in target verticals
- Negotiate rates with shippers and build sustainable freight programs
- Source and vet carrier capacity for assigned freight lanes
- Coordinate pickups, deliveries, and exception management
- Maintain accurate records in TMS and CRM systems
- Monitor in-transit shipments and communicate proactively with shippers
- Meet revenue and margin targets consistently
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 1+ year of freight brokerage or logistics sales experience preferred
- Strong understanding of truckload, LTL, and intermodal freight markets
- Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
- Familiarity with TMS platforms (experience a plus)
- Self-motivated with a track record of hitting targets
